Group Supervision Training for Dietitians
Presenters: Fiona Sutherland, APD and Terrill Bruere, APD
Terrill and Fiona both have many years experience facilitating groups, both in the supervision and community setting. They are passionate about ways in which groups can be powerful vehicles for personal and professional learning and growth.
Information about the Workshop
Group supervision is fundamentally different to individual supervision, and requires a specific suite of skills - group facilitation and reflective supervision - to facilitate effectively in the service of the group member’s learnings. More than a group of individuals in a room, groups invite us to explore and examine ways in which the group can support, bolster and expand growth and reflection in ways which are less possible in dyadic (individual, 1:1) supervision.
Suitable for any Dietitian who is new to new-ish to Supervising individuals and groups or already actively supervising but wanting to boost group supervision skills, this workshop aims to leave you feeling more clear and confident in facilitating groups. Dietitians from any workplace are very welcome - private practice, clinical, community or anywhere you are supervising a group of people
This is going to be a live only workshop (it will not be recorded) with plenty of opportunity for participation and practice to the degree you feel safe and comfortable to do so.
We do request that you have a thorough understanding of Supervision processes and have completed some training either through DSRA (with Tara MacGregor) or another reputable organisation.
